For this project, I wanted to create a stylized desert scene that took inspiration from Doom and The Mummy. Creating this environment involved me going through each stage of building an environment. It started with the conceptual phase which involved me gather images that best suited my ideas for this environment. Then I went through the blockout phase, shaping the basis of my environment to tell the story I wanted to convey. Once I had the block finished, I started modeling/sculpting all the details of each piece. This also included me re-mesh, baking, texturing, and importing all the asset into UE4. The final step was to set dress and configuring all lightning; giving the scene a sunset vibe.
Environment Story:
It was prophesied that once a millennia the eyes of Osiris would flow; opening a blood portal that would bring a horde of undead from the underworld to cleanse this world.... Known to only a few the portal required a sacrifice of one who was pure in their mind, body, and soul.... only then would the portal open.
